Committees
The Faculty Council gives guidance and decides on the use of faculty's resources (funds, physical resources, staff, rooms etc.) as well as on fundamental issues relating to the faculty's research and teaching output. This includes decisions on degree programmes as well as those relating to study and examination regulations.
The Faculty’s Rules of Procedure [german content], together with the Annex [german content], came into force on 1 November 2024.
A Board of Examiners is appointed to organise and conduct examinations. It ensures that the provisions of the study and examination regulations are observed. The Central Examination Office assists the Board of Examiners with the organisational and administrative aspects of the examinations.
The Examination Boards meet as and when required, at the invitation of the chairperson.
The Study Grant Committee decides on the allocation of study grants within the faculty.
Its members are, by virtue of their office, the Dean and the Director of Studies, a member appointed by the Faculty Council, and representatives of mid-level academic staff and students.
The QSA plays a key role in ensuring quality in degree programmes and teaching.
By virtue of their office, the following are represented on the committee: the programme directors, the deans of studies, the accreditation officer, as well as the programme coordination team and the Centre for Learning and Teaching (ZLF).
