Dr. Marlene Mußotter studierte Politikwissenschaft in Freiburg, Maastricht (NL) und Passau, und ist seit 01.10.2023 Post-Doc (100%, 5 SWS) am Lehrstuhl von Prof. Ingo Rohlfing. Sie wurde mit einer Arbeit über die Weiterentwicklung der Nationalismus-Patriotismus Distinktion in der Politischen Psychologie 2023 promoviert (summa cum laude). Während ihrer Promotionszeit forschte Frau Mußotter 2022 als Gastwissenschaftlerin an der Universität Oxford (UK). Ihre Arbeiten wurden in peer-reviewed Journals wie Political Psychology, Nations and Nationalism oder Quality & Quantity publiziert. Sie lehrte bisher an den Universitäten Passau, Freiburg und Bamberg.

She received her PhD entitled "On nation, homeland, and democracy: Toward a novel three-factor measurement model. Revisiting the nationalism-patriotism distinction" in 2023 (summa cum laude). During her doctoral studies, Ms Mußotter was a visiting researcher at the University of Oxford (UK) in 2022. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Political Psychology, Nations and Nationalism and Quality & Quantity. She has taught at the Universities of Passau, Freiburg and Bamberg.
