On 26th March 2026, Dr. Fathima Nizaruddin participated in a discussion with prominent Malayalam YouTuber Mr. BijuMohan on how social media affects the legacy of progressive thought in the state of Keralam in India. The discussion series was organised by Vakkom Moulavi Foundation Trust at Thiruvananthapuram, Keralam. The discussion focused on how algorithmic control affects digital speech in a low resource language like Malayalam.
