Recognition and credit transfers

The program coordinator supervises the following recognition and credit transfer processes:

Recognition of internships (all study programs of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities)
Recognition of projects (only M.A. International Cultural and Business Studies and M.A. Development Studies)
Recognition of courses completed inside or outside of the University of Passau (all study programs of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities)

Please note:this information applies to all degree programs except for M.A. Cultural Management/ICBS and M.A. Development Studies!

All important information regarding the content and formal structure of your internship and internship report, as well as the procedure for applying for credit, can be found in the Joint Internship Guidelines.

To receive credit for an internship, please submit the following documents:

Application for accreditation of an internship
Internship certificate with precise details of the internship period
If applicable, registration form for stays abroad
Internship report (at least 5 or 10 pages, depending on the duration of the internship)

The documents must be submitted in a single PDF file by email to the program coordinator at praktikum.sobi-geku@uni-passau.de.

Please name the file as follows: “Last name, first name_degree program_date.pdf” (example: “Musterfrau, Michaela_BA_ICBS_01.01.2020.pdf”).

Files that do not comply with these requirements will not be processed.

For the recognition of your internship or your project work, please send the following documents to praktikum@phil.uni-passau.de:

Recognition form for projects (M.A. ICBS) or Recognition Form (M.A. DVS)
Internship certificate with exact indication of the duration of the internship or a detailed project schedule
Form for recording stays abroad (if applicable)
Internship report or project report (at least 10 pages)

We recognize academic achievements and examinations that you have completed either at the University of Passau or at another university in Germany or abroad.

For all study programmes except B.A. European Studies Major, there is a recognition form that you need to send to your program coordinator, along with the necessary certificates.

For students of the B.A. European Studies Major, there is a separate recognition form.
