During the workshop "Central Kalimantan 2030 - Natural Resources, Social Justice and Sustainable Development in Central Kalimantan" 26 representatives of various NGOs, universities, the government, and local newspapers discussed the status quo and the future of Central Kalimantan. Important future strategies were critically discussed and the significance of different actors were crystalized along the process. The workshop took place in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, on March 20, 2018 within the project "FuturEN-Governance, identities and future along categories of difference in the coal mining sector in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia". The workshop was organized by Dr. Kristina Großmann, Prof. Dr. Marko Mahin of the Christian University Palangka Raya, and Dr. Semiarto Purwanto of the Universitas Indonesia together with Meta Septalisa, Pinarsita Juliana and Alessandro Gullo.
