Dear students,
I would very much like to invite you to this year’s Dies Academicus. This traditional festive celebration is an opportunity to look back together on the past few months, to recognise outstanding achievements across our University and to enjoy casual conversation with one another.
On Wednesday, 11 November, at 16:00 we look forward to welcoming you to the Dies Academicus in the Audimax Building. We are particularly delighted that Bavarian Minister of State for Science and the Arts, Markus Blume (Member of the Bavarian Parliament) will join us on this occasion. We can also look forward to a keynote speech by Franziska Hagedorn, an alumna of the University of Passau and Head of Division at the German Federal Foreign Office.
The Dies Academicus is a celebration for our entire University – and thus an opportunity for you to experience your alma mater from a different perspective, to celebrate outstanding achievements and successes, and to spend a special afternoon together with lecturers, staff and alumni.
All University of Passau students are cordially invited.
To take part, we would ask you to register at the earliest convenience, as places are limited.
I very much look forward to celebrating this special day together with you.
Kind regards,
Jan Hendrik Schumann
President of the University of Passau
