Residence permit applications: Document pre-checking service

The International Support Services Section offers a document pre-checking and forwarding service for your residence permit applications (for both first-time applications and extensions). Students from non-European-Union countries must have a valid residence permit to legally reside in Germany. We strongly recommend that you make use of this offer before contacting the Foreigners’ Office.

Checks take place every Tuesday afternoon at Innstrasse 43, room ITZ 5. Please register for an individual consultation on Eva Manetzgruber's Stud.IP profile. This is where you will find all the pre-check dates for the semester break as well as details on the required documents and forms.

Although the response time has improved, we strongly recommend starting the application process in good time before your visa or residence permit expires. Please note that the pre-checking appointments in September are only offered every second week.
