Student Groups
Ubuntu Mondo

Ubuntu Mondo is an international student group founded by Master’s students in Development Studies at the University of Passau. We work to strengthen the representation of international students, advocate for their interests, and promote an inclusive campus environment. Our group supports international students through mentorship, guidance, solidarity, and opportunities for academic collaboration. Inspired by the philosophy of Ubuntu (“I am because we are”), we foster global dialogue, inclusivity, and the decolonization of academic spaces.
PSOA-Project Southeast Asia

Project Southeast Asia, or PSOA for short, is the university group for all Southeast Asia enthusiasts and interested parties at the University of Passau.
We and our activities are just as diverse and colourful as the region itself. This includes planning various projects, discussion groups and events related to Southeast Asia in the areas of cultural and language exchange, politics, etc.
During the semester, we try to bring Southeast Asian culture to Passau by celebrating the Thai Festival of Lights, organising cooking events and addressing current issues in Southeast Asia.
Everyone is welcome to get involved, big or small, or just to come and have a look!
