The KonKoop network meeting on 15 February 2023 was held under the working title "New Data? Possibilities and Limits of 'Unusual' Data for Research on Conflict and Cooperation". The research network, the content of which can be found via the link Conflict and Cooperation in Eastern Europe: The Consequences of the Reconfiguration of Political, Economic, and Social Spaces since the End of the Cold War (KonKoop) (zois-berlin.de)​​​​​​​, organises digital network meetings at irregular intervals to reflect on the work, discuss practical and ethical research issues and strengthen the network. An important aspect of these meetings in a protected setting is the open discussion between "junior" and "senior researchers" about the changing conditions of research, about problems and their solutions. Prof. Toepfl was invited to contribute his expertise and experience in the field of Russia and new media.
